Mission

The mission of Public Procurement Service (PPS) is to purchase quality items at best value in a timely manner for public entities. Under this mission, PPS strives to provide the best value service to its clients, save national budget spending and contribute to the national economy.

Role

To support these roles,PPS undertakes a number of procurement business processes. PPS facilitates the procurement of commonly used supplies by establishing government-wide unit price contracts (MAS contracts). For construction works, PPS offers a broad range of business services, including project cost review, project design feasibility review, and project management services. Through the operation of Korea ONline E-Procurement System (KONEPS), PPS has digitalized the entire procurement process from procurement request to bidding, contracting and payment for public entities. Through its procurement functions, PPS also contribute to realizing the government's various policy objectives.
